Awards for All funding for Cove & Kilcreggan villages (Our Community Project)

Our Community Project is delighted and grateful to have been successful with a funding application to The National Lottery’s Community Fund - Awards for All.

We have received £9,335.00 of funding to help build on the volunteer spirit within the villages, by addressing in a small way, some of the issues raised during the Local Place Plan consultations.

Disclaimer: Photo collage is for illustration purposes only. It does not reflect any concrete ideas for implementation or priority areas funded in the villages of Cove & Kilcreggan.

‘Connecting Cove and Kilcreggan’ project grant will liaise with the volunteer community groups and other groups within the community to enhance our villages’ environment, improve the Green Isle footpath, promote beach cleans and clearwater research, signpost heritage, support local sports and above all, involve as many volunteers including young people, as possible over the coming year.

The funding includes the employment of a community artist to work with volunteers and will also support volunteers to visit successful, community based projects in surrounding areas, from which we can learn. We have a year within which to spend the funding and we will promote activities through social media and posters in order that people can join in.

We also continue to welcome ideas and suggestions for minor improvements within the community that can be tackled directly by caring volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact us on: hello@coveandkilcreggancommunity.com
