Green Group call-out for tackling the Knotweed problem along our coastline

Our Community Green Group is planning to attempt the eradication of the presence of Japanese Knotweed along our coastline.

This alien species is highly competitive and is swamping out our native species, along with our lovely views.  In recognising this is a long term plan with a need for a lot of funding over several years, part of our approach is to focus on key areas, for example, in the vicinity of areas that we want to protect. 

With this in mind, we are asking our village communities to suggest potential starting places within the Cove and Kilcreggan Community Council area.  Please send any suggestions by 11th January 2025 to: greengroup@coveandkilcreggancommunity.com
