Our Community website is now live!

After many months of discussions, work, designing and liaising, the Our Community website is now live.

The website will be focused on the development of Cove & Kilcreggan villages as vibrant communities. It will be the hub for volunteer-led community groups looking at different areas of business development in the villages, arts and heritage work, creating footpaths and trails around our peninsula, development of sports facilities, engaging young people and the development of a youth group, various green and environmental initiatives and clean water monitoring on the coastline of Cove & Kilcreggan villages.

The website also has pages that describe the timeline and story of the Our Community project as well as on going meetings and events working towards the goal of the Local Place Plan. It is also oriented to the needs of the community for information about the skills and services available on our peninsula.

Our Community project is a volunteer-led project, which has been funded since 2022 to develop a Local Place Plan which conveys the desires of the residents of the villages about how their villages should be developing. Every member of the Our Community project - whether in the management group or the various community groups - is a resident of Cove & Kilcreggan and has been volunteering towards creating the Local Place Plan by the end of the year.
