This is 2nd meeting following the Part 1 Meeting on October 26th, 2024, where over 400 submissions had been inputted into the online community survey. The event was well attended. There was good feedback, there were also aspects of the session that have been refined since the 1st workshop.
The second event will be held on:
Date: December 1st 2024
Time: 11am - 3 pm
Venue: Cove Park
Objectives of Part 2 meeting:
1. This Part 2 meeting is held in order to maximise the benefits of community voices & discussions, and to discuss the ideas that could not be discussed in the first meeting. Consultants are refining the process, an independent researcher is reviewing the submissions checking for overlaps and alignments, in order to prepare a more streamlined version of the ideas and aspirations.
2. This Part 2 meeting will prioritise group inputs and areas or topics that have attracted the most attention.
The event will be held in Cove Park. We are holding it on a Sunday to make it easier for businesses to attend. Secondly, Cove Burgh Hall is unavailable since it will be set up for the choir's winter concert and the Wifi in the Scout Hall is non-existent, this was our only option. We will offer a lift service from Kilcreggan Village Center for anyone requiring it.
The OC Management Team is trying hard to ensure that as many voices as possible are heard and hopefully, given refinement of the process and with your help by attending this second session, they hope that it will be possible for those attending to reach consensus over key topics and locations.
The final outcome will be put back to the community for approval and would be included within the Local Place Plan as part of the community's tool set with which to influence future planning decisions in the Cove and Kilcreggan area.
Please put December 1st in your diaries and let anyone else who you think might be interested, know about the event.
Please also let us know if you want a lift from Kilcreggan Village bus shelter (opposite the butcher’s) by emailing developmentofficer@coveandkilcreggancommunity.com
There is also a list in the Post Office, where you can add your name and contact details. Please ask Karen or Stephen at the Post Office.
